CAZZO! Do we have a hefty panino for you on board!
The cheese gods have spoken and they have served up a One Panino At A Time specialè. Nestled in the middle of Thomastown, where you might need to ask Siri for the directions. You will come across a large warehouse coloured royal blue, with a big sign saying "That's Amore Cheese", and trust me it was "amore mio!"
From the finest European products imported and also locally supported, they even produce the best quality cow and buffalo milk, sourced locally from Victorian farmers and delivered fresh daily! They basically supply to 90% of all paninoteca's, deli's and restaurants around Melbourne. The owner of this power house came all the way from Sicily and built himself a meditaernean empire! BRAVO GIORGIO!
Alright now to the good stuff, my order:
EMILIANO, this one was as Siciliano as it could get!
- Ciabatta bread
- Fior Di Latte
- Eggplant
- Tomato
- Mortadella
Okay so they clearly nailed it with the bread, it was your typical Ciabatta that just leaves your mouth watering! Grazie dio, the Mortadella was thinly sliced! With thick chunks of Fior di latte that soaked up the Olive Oil from the Eggplant, this panino was fresh off the boat from Sicilia thanks to the Tomato of course!
Did I mention these guys marinated the Eggplants exactly how my mum would? Oily, garlicy with the right amount of zest! Takes me back to the good days!
These guys even offer catering and an outside cafè for you to sit down, enjoy an apretivo and eat your panino!
